Every year, United Nations Commission would meet in regular session for six weeks during March and April in Geneva. In 1999, Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities title had been changed to to the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights by the Economic and Social Council.
