Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was founded on 15 June 2001. The organization currently comprises eight Member States; China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The SCO has four Observer States; Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia which are interested in acceding to full membership. The SCO also has six Dialogue Partners: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
